I live in the South of England and I have a garden with an area of one third of an acre it is an established garden that I have improved other the last 18 years. I concentrate on growing flowers but this year have I decided to grow vegetables again like I used when I once had an allotment. I have decided to use the plot that has grow Dahlias and Chrysanthemums for the last 14 years so the soil is fertile and should produce good results. Due to all the rain that we have had during the last 6 months the spring bulbs have been very good and because of the cool conditions the Daffodils have been flowering from March till May. I only managed to dig my vegetable plot at Easter this year and due to the rain I have grown all of my vegetables in multi-cells this year. So far I have managed to transplant my Broad beans The Sutton, Shallots, Peas Early Onward and Carrots Amsterdam Forcing. My French Beans Purple Queen have just germinated and I will transplant them in the next few weeks.

This is a very busy time of the year and at the end of this month it will be time to plant out all of the bedding plants, this year I have grow Pelagoniums Century Mixed, African Marigold Atlantis Mixed, Phlox Mount Hampden, Lavatera White Cherub, and Begonia Olympia Mixed.

I may be a bit late but today 13th May I have just planted out my Sweet Peas, the reason I am so late is because of the wet weather during the last few months.

Besides growing Chrysanthemums and Pot Plants this includes Fuchsias, Pelagoniums, Double Begonias and Begonia Rex, I also grow Perennial Carnations. Below are show pictures.
