  Bring along your prints for an informal discussion. Would you like to try out some of your prints with our resident judge? Or perhaps you would prefer to concentrate on entertaining members with your images. Whatever your aim, please make this evening its customary success.

  In their non-digital cameras, many photographers now use slide film exclusively as the easiest way of obtaining photographs in our three competition categories. If you are not certain of what the judge might say, why not bring along your new slides for a preliminary outing?

  Photographic Workshop
  Not for broken cameras but for improving techniques. This type of evening was suggested as a possible way of improving the range and quality of our members' work, particularly with regard to the FSLPS inter-club matches. If the use of specialist equipment is required, please give plenty of notice so that we can arrange for it to be available on the night.

  Fashions in Photography
  Can you tell the year a photograph was taken from its photographic style (not its content)? We shall need a total of at least 50 suitable photographs (prints or slides) and, if possible, a few words from each contributor during the answer session. Please hunt through your archives and dig out what was once the height of photographic fashion.

  This is when members can talk about the latest news and ideas in photography, so please collect your material during the year and bring it along for our annual discussion in a circle.

  Competition Winners
