Welcome to my Website! Please note that contrary to commonly held belief, you do NOT need a visa to enter my world.
The main content of this site is wargaming! I am Chairman of the Cornwall Miniature Wargames Association (which meets every couple of weeks near Newquay), and have written various magazine articles on the subject. My main interest is in obscure wars, together with lesser known aspects of larger wars (i.e. my interest in Swedish armies of the Seven Years War, and Spanish Napoleonics). Current projects include Indochina 1946-54, and the Mexican Revolution 1910-20 (both of which now have something on-line!). I am also a fan of the "lesser" armies of WW2, such as the Dutch and
Romanians.
Having said that, I'm interested in almost any historical/gaming period, and have armies ranging from "biblical" (Egyptian, Hittite, etc.) to science fiction.
I've decided to concentrate more on putting some of my current research projects onto the 'net for exposure/criticism/additions, rather than trying to get them into print, and would welcome any input.
Please note that my Flintloque stuff is now on the Damnall O'Hairy Page, rather than individually listed here. There is also a Flintloque Discussion Group, including Steve Blease (the author). To join, follow the link, and search for "Flintloque". I have added my new "Revolutionary Wars" site, which should grow to cover various 20th Century non-conventional wars.
I have set up a Discussion Group for fictional (and real) Latin American warfare:

HEALTH WARNING! Please note that Mr. D. P. O'Hara is an MWD* sufferer, and also a very sick puppy. Prolonged exposure to his ravings may result in transference of the MWD bug, with consequent outbursts of painting lead and plastic figurines, converting scale models, researching strange military campaigns, and other antisocial symptoms. MWD is for life, not just for Christmas!
* Mad Wargamer's Disease
As some of you may already know, I have a great love for Cuba. Thus I have started a "non-wargaming" page on Cuba and matters Cuban: CUBA LIBRE!
...and for those who think that I am mad, try:
Pearl Harbour Revisionism or CinCpac War. This stuff just has to be seen to be believed!
I've revived the "Web Anorak" award after being sent this link by Nowfel Leulliot. As he says "Worthy of the Feldgrau Anorak Trophy (with palms)", I give you the Third Reich
