This gun, a modified 75mm Mle 1897, was used as an anti-tank gun by the Free French troops under General König at Bir Hacheim between 26th May and 11th June 1942. It has a dramatically cut-down carriage and gun-shield to suit this rôle.

Like the standard 75mle97, there is no muzzle-brake. Apologies for the limited views given by the photos - but it is in a cramped position!
Many thanks to Nowfel Leulliot for his expert guidance to Les Invalides, various book and model shops, bars, etc. during my trip to Paris in May. Danke! (PS I've left out the photo complete with M. Leulliot out of deference to his "International Man of Mystery" status!).
