The Block is made from English Ash,the button is made from English Walnut.The Gavel has a shaft of American Walnut,the head is an African wood called Muhuhu,the shaft tip is English Holly,a lovely mixture.The Gavel is 8"long,the head 3".The Block is 5"dia by 1" thick.This lovely set was bought by a gentleman in scotland,but I can make more!.....

Charlie the ginger tom,is 4 now,he"s actually Karen my daughters cat but she lives on a busy main road,him having NO road sense still lives with us.He often stops in the workshop with me by the stove when im turning,he loves roaming thro the tarps I cover my machines up with....

This bowl is turned simply,from a block of Maranti a much maligned wood not often turned,its easy to work,and cheap to buy,and takes a nice finish,this one has had 2 coats of liquid paraffin leaving a nice Satin finish..
