Its not a stool but ive used it as such for 50 years

What is it????? just over 50years ago,when I was a mere boy some friends of my parents gave me this item.It was made on a bodgers lathe,out of Ash,I used it as a stool as I do sometimes today,it beats kneeling!! The picture on the left is an exact replica in size to mine,its made out of Pine,stained and varnished.it stands9"tall and the top is 7"dia. the hole in the top is 1.1/2" SQUARE purposely,not for a square finger!!! theres 6 legs at an angle of 12 degress,tho this is not crucial,any ideas,email your anwers,we can have a chat.....
