The rocking horse is cut from pieces of wood and then hand shaped and sanded into shape. The picture opposite shows what the horses head looks like prior to painting.

Here you can see me chiseling out a channel down the horses neck, this is where the mane will be fitted.

This picture shows the secret door on one of the rocking horses I have made. The small opening allows you to put small items into the body of the horse. This can be used as a time capsule or just for hidding away your teasures.
