The Parish Records date from 1588 and are complete for all Baptisms, Marriages and Burials. As with many parishes the records are stored at the County Records Office and currently we do not have any transcribed records held locally.The following records are deposited at the Wiltshire Records office in Trowbridge:
Baptisms 1588 to 1983
Marriages 1588 to 1987
Burials 1588 to 1984
The Records Office also holds details of Bishops' Transcripts but with gaps from 1624
Researchers may be interested to know that partial records have been transcribed as part of the IGI and are available to search at www.familysearch.org. Records include Baptisms, 1588-1885 females batch C152181 and Marriages, 1588-1837 batch M152181
There are many headstones in the churchyard including a number of listed tombs.
