THE DIONYSOS

You drive on towards Sitia taking note of the turn offs to Ierapetra and the other areas of historical interest. Through Sitia and taking the road to Vai - which you must visit later on, onwards to the Village. Take care on this section of road, although it has been upgraded it is narrow. The best way to drive here is NOT to look over the edge. You will round the corner and be struck dumb by the colour of the Village - a hue of pastels twinkling in the sun, pass through the security gates and then - WOW.
