The Dionysos Village lies 11km from Sitia in the north-east part of the island of Crete. It was purpose built with everything that you would want on holiday - and more.
It has salt water swimming pools, a swimming river of 160 metres in length. Fitness studios with some very serious equiptment for the energetic. It has shops, supermarkets and obviously restaurants, Greek tavernas and bars." Disco" the night away near the beach. They offer scuba-diving and hire of bicycles and so many things that you could go on forever.
The complex lies farther away than the usual tourist areas. Sitia the closest town is coming into its' own on the island. This is not a place for people who just want to rave the night away. It's more a place to take in the essence of Crete. Close to historic Minoan settlements - the area has a multitude of places of interest to view.
