Once upon a time there was a couple called Willie and Violet who fell in love with Greece. Violet loved the sun and grew desperate to get away from the Scottish weather. She worked her charm on Willie and together they went looking for their place in the sun. In the summer of 2001 they flew to Skiathos and then on to Skopelos. Lovely though the places were, Violet and Willie agreed that it was just a little to hard to get to from Scotland. Violet was broken-hearted but with a steely determination searched feverishly on the internet for somewhere closer. Crete popped up!!! George Petridis, a lovely man had an Real Estate Agency. He answered Violet's e-mail and so off Willie and Violet went again - this time to the beautiful island of Crete, searching once again for their dream.
