Hey all! Why not visit my new site? Heuristic Design
:: 12thJuly 2004. Hey Tony, thanks for the review, I will update the site tomorrow because my eyes hurt. Good review at any rate. If anyone visits this site anymore, drop me a line at the Games > Review form, a simple hello, with the country you are from would be nice. :: 24thFebruary 2004. Thank you, Delta 9 for your review on F-Zero GX. It is now in the Games section. Updated Affiliate Kool Gamecube is now Gamecube Web. Link updated. :: 12thFebruary 2004. New Affiliate Nintendo Universe. You know where to go... :: 1stFebruary 2004. New Link If someone takes the time to email, I will take the time to upload and update. Take a look at the Kool Gamecube site on the links page. When I get round to making a new magical witchcraft site full of Quicktime wonders, I will make another links page mirroring the one on Ultimate Gamecube to stop them from going stale. (; :: 30thDecember Happy New Year. Facing the dawn of 2004 I decide to give you a proper explanation of the 'Cube situation. To tell the truth I have had time, but I didn't fill it with playing games. Partly due to the fact that I didn't buy many, and partly because gaming held no real attraction any more. That is starting to change though, I have been playing on Burnout 2 and Viewtiful Joe. Both awesome games. I recommend them to anyone. So, will I be breathing life back into Ultimate Gamecube? No. No, I wont. If I do write any more 'Cube related stuff then I will be posting it to n-insanity.com this is unofficial mind; I haven't actually told them yet. lol. But you might see me contributing to that instead. I will let you know in the new year. School is rather tiresome; GCSEs or rather coursework is crap. Teachers expect you to do it in 2 weeks before the holidays. Why they leave it so late is a mystery. Oh well, ICT is a breeze at least! I got a nice camera for Crimbo. I have already used the stitch mode to create a little Quicktime pan around thingy, expect to view some interesting ones when I create a site full of technical witchcraft in the new year. The picture to the left is actually a book, not a game. I was trying to provoke a response - something along the line of "Hey! You can't do that!" - but it just didn't come. I mean it's not hard to email someone is it? Essentially it means one of two things. 1. That nobody visits this site or 2. You're all dumbasses. I'm betting on two, nah, jk. jk. I finished the book months ago actually. A good read, I learnt some Russian from it; 'Zaicheck' means rabbit! Unfortunately I don't know how to spell it (??) ![]() Heh, the one thing about Burnout 2 is that the timer arcade function is too easy! The time never runs out! I actually played through a whole level using only my feet. I finished fourth but hey! I finished before being timed out! Click on the images for a bigger look. I did compress it to about 500kb which should take about 5 minutes to download, it was originally 1.7 mbs. if you're on 56k that's no excuse. I wait patiently for proper rendering on my 56k! If you're on broadband you can have a nice time downloading it again, again and again to get my site banned from Freeserve for using up too much bandwidth. Have a nice year, but have you fed the fish? :: 14thOctober Old times sake, hey! I thought I might as well make a little update. Well, I got an email from Robert who seems to think that Resident Evil Three is "Bloddy brillant." How dare you. Next time - don't bother. :: 5thAugust Yeah, well. I updated a review; Super Smash Bros. Melee, by Tony K. Thanks Tony! If you want regular news, which as I explained will no longer be available on this site, you can use this link. :: 2ndAugust, 2003. I'm taking a break from Ultimate Gamecube, yes, it takes up a lot of my time to keep on updating this site. So the regular updates will cease. A review might be added now and then but that's it. Right click here for a zipped explanatory Flash movie. The movie should only take about 2 mins on 56k. Keep gaming... :: 13thJuly Picked up Eternal Darkness today...for £15! Yup, you heard me, it was purchased from a branch of Currys. The first impressions are certainly dark, and the quality of voice acting on the opening FMV sequences is very good. Now to examine that famous sanity meter... :: 28thJune Massive Metroid review! Big update, have a look at the Metroid Prime review, click on to the Game Pages ~ Metroid Prime. :: 25thJune New Affiliate: Nintendo Forever. Starting June 23rd, Americans buying the Gamecube will find it bundled with the Gameboy Player, and a GC-GBA link cable. European gamers, however, will only be priveliged to a slap in the face. Want to be a game goon? Yes! Konami are giving members of the public a chance to be featured in their coming Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes game. Your details could be on an enemy "dog tag!" Click here for more info. :: 16thMay. I have awoken to break wind, yes! Zelda has come in the post! The first "dungeon" is action packed with a high emphasis on stealth, and the graphics are a breath of fresh air! New affiliate added: Neo Nintendo. Be sure to pay them a visit! :: 13thMay. Phantasy Star Online 3... Card Revolution?! Yup, looks like there will be some nice turn-based strategy for your 'Cube's modem to sink its teeth into. Gotcha Force a new Gamecube exclusive Capcom title in development. Promises violent fast paced battles, between heavily armed toys and aliens. You heard me, toys! What were you thinking Capcom? Gamers don't want toys they want mecha-robots! Is that so hard to understand?! Affiliates worth a mention, Nintopia is undergoing a nice design change. Some time ago Gamecube Cafe also updated its flash menu, have a look! Updates to come, exams over! :: 7thMay. Wind Waker storms into the UK charts going straight to number one! Sorry for the lack of updates, I have SATs this week, Damn. But my copy of WW will be arriving in a few days time, Woohoo! :: 30thApril. Pikmin review added, Click over to Pikmin on the Game pages. :: 25thApril. Mario Kart GC pics, click on to the Game pages - Mario Kart GC. :: 23rdApril. New Pikmin 2 screens! Click onto the Games page - Pikmin 2 Mario Kart - Gamecube - screens to come! :: 22ndApril. Capcom cut 18 games currently in development, due to poor sales of software they have released. At first they thought it was because of Nintendo, but the trend continued throughout their software line on other platforms. New updates, some new articles uploaded onto the aptly named "Articles" page. :: 20thApril. Game Stars is looming, in 10 mintutes, ITV1 will possibly be hosting the most biased gaming show ever to be aired on T.V. I can hear it now... :: 17thApril. Did you know that when you walk down the street, you are in fact not moving at all? That juicy 12oz. steak you ate this lunch? Only a figment of your imagination. Think you have an important career? Well, in reality, you are only about as important as an extra long life Duracell battery. Before you run out into the streets shouting something about getting "them" out of your head, just wait a month until the Matrix comes to the 'Cube near you. The Matrix will be a multi-format release, and will span two discs, apart from the PC version that will span 6! :: 9thApril. The GameCube version of Burnout 2: Point of Impact has been shipped to shops in North America, wehay, at least it will eventually come to the UK! The Gamecube version will differ from the one already out on the PS2. Mentionably, there will be 15 further crash junctions, six new locations (in the States), improved lighting effects, and some extra crash combinations. "The Gamecube is doomed" is the impression given by many gaming sites. What a shame. Well, as long as I have Metroid P' and the prospect of Wind Waker on the horizon, it is pretty hard to believe that that 'Cube is doing as bad as people say it is. Big man Bill slashes Xbox prices (yet again) to only £130. Er...hum, not very important so I will leave it at that. (-; :: 3rdApril. Nintendo propaganda, I hate to say it, but after seeing a big banner on Nintendo Europe.com that reads "Vote for your favourite Nintendo Game in Game Stars" [the text is bolded in the banner too] what else can you call it? Though I don't blame them! Added an Anti-Videogames article, will this be the end of Ultimate Gamecube and my interest in videogames? ()-; :: 26thMarch. After 4 long days in the post my copy of Metroid Prime has finally arrived. I unwrap the packaging with scepticism, will this be a hyped up game that doesn't live up to expectations? I was almost frightened to play on it and find out... After about 45 minutes of playing through the "first level" I was amazed. Don't expect to start with the bog-standard, weak, mind-numbing "look here, press this button to do this when this happens" tutorial, Metroid Prime chucks you straight into A* gameplay. I can't wait until I delve even further into this game... Smellfreeze? [Dry wit no. 2] Tired of the smell of smoke in your house? Buy Smellfreeze and spray it liberally everywhere! Or for an alternative cheaper way, give up smoking! Bonus fun: Watch air-freshener adverts on TV to see why this is so "funny." :: 23rdMarch. ITV 1's new program "Gamestars" is giving you the chance to vote for your favourite game.. No doubt the PS2 games will win, a bit bias really since most of the public own a PS2, but Metroid Prime is in quite a few categories so there is still some hope...(-; Why not click over to The Game Stars Website? :: 21stMarch. Yahhhhaaaaheeee!, I have finished uploading my new site, I have ordered Metroid Prime, and I have collected 27 spaceship parts in Pikmin in 24 days...Could life get any better? *Remembers Iraq* Damn, I guess it could.... :: 17thMarch. There be adverts, just saw an advert on the TV for Resident Evil 0, yay! If people find that Xbox commercial with the "human stages of life" offensive, then it looks like there will be a hoo-harr this too... :: 16thMarch. Fans eager for the two free games, that come with Zelda: The Wind Waker, have helped to make this one of the most successful pre-order schemes in Nintendo history. In Electronics Boutique the demand for WW has even surpassed the likes of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The hyped up Xbox's Splinter Cell, will be slinking onto the 'Cube in a couple of months. Expect it to turn from "crap" to "excellent." :: 14thMarch. Dixons Drop 'Cubes, "They aint selling enough," Dixons splutter. Oh well, Nintendo are only down to 4449 stockists. If you are considering to buy one then now is your chance, in an attempt to rid their current stock, prices will plummet to only £99 with a free game! Nintendo are going to launch a €20 million add campaign in Europe, they will be advertising the new GBA SP, the first 400,000 to be sold will come complete with a €50 money off voucher for the 'Cube. Hopefully they wont forget the ole' UK...hopefully :: 12thMarch. Electronic Arts and Nintendo are joining forces, so to speak, in making "approximately" 20 new games for the 'Cube this year (although that is in America, read 10 games in Europe). So, you don't trust EA eh? Rest assured, Shigeru Miyamoto will be overseeing all the "technical gameplay elements." :: 3rdMarch. It just gets better and better [Dry wit no. 1], Punishments on the Enterprise are severe: "A crew member being late...a beating, Insubordination....well...what can I say? We started off with a crew of 83, now we are down to 77...." - Captain Archer. The Internet has lost it's Nerds *sigh* :: 6thFebruary. Worked on, a massive "high-tech" design, superb in every way then decided I didn't like it...Lesson 1: Keep It Simple Stupid! AKA KISS (only to techno-nerds) :: 8th January. The new GBA SP, Yesterday Nintendo launched a new 32-bit system. It has a sleeker design than the GBA, similar to that of the new fold-up mobile phones, it measures 84.6mm long, 82mm wide, and is 24.3mm thin! To top it off it also has a rechargeable lithium battery, which can supply over 10 hours of gameplay...and....a backlit screen! Hurrah! The system is also backwards compatible, just like the normal GBA. Now for the all important Europe release date: March 28th 2003, not that long away folks! For a Flash movie with the SP zipping around go to The Nintendo Europe Flash Page :: 2nd January. 2003 New Updates for 2003, this site just won't go away. The new Games layout pushes forward some new reviews. Stay tuned (or connected, if you are not currently browsing this site with a radio) for reviews of Burnout, Pikmin, Nightfire and Timesplitters 2! Also a new Burnout gallery will be uploaded shortly. Also for you techno-nerds out there I have been making some changes to the HTML and CSS coding to comply with the high standards of the geeks down at the old World Wide Web Consortium. :: 19th December. Enclave, the feared Xbox game is going to make it's way to the 'Cube and PS2 next year. Will it be just as hard? Only time will tell. ATI shares down 22%, these are the people who supply the 'Cube's Graphics Processor. For a person who knows a lot more about American Shares than me direct your browser to: Detnews.com :: 17th December. Red Faction 2, quite a popular PS2 game is going to be making it's way to the 'Cube, lets hope it isn't another lousy port. Wind Waker Info, The game starts on Link's 12th birthday. When (of course) his sister gets kidnapped by a giant bird. Brilliant stuff, of course that is only the bare outline, and the there is a lot more to the wind that is revealed. Have a look at the Zelda game page why not. :: 14th December. The Wind Waker, that's the name for the new Zelda game just in case you didn't already know ;) U.S. Sailors get 'Cubes, not really anything to do with the UK, but I thought it was quite funny. The Gamecubes (Xbox's and PS2's too) will be dished out by the Interactive Digital Software Association to every U.S. submarine "as a way to recognise the sacrifices of the armed forces". Not a bad idea eh? The 'Cube was described as being "graphically amazing" with the players (Madden 2002) being lifelike. 12 hour stretches of 'Cube playing were not unheard of! :: 11th December. Pikmin 2 and Mario 128 confirmed!!, yup Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that the long awaited Super Mario 128 and the Pikmin sequel are currently in development. (Shigsy told in a Japanise "Playboy" mag) Americans get $50 off, Cube games and accessories, not much use over the pond though. Roll on March 2003, waiting for that Metroid Prime release in the UK. :: 8th December. Action Replay, Datel have moved away from InterAct Accessories and the Gameshark will now be distributed under the Action Replay name. Expect a 'Cube version of this cheat device late spring. :: 5th December. The Gamecube is going online, Nintendo have made a deal with SEGA.com for them to make online gaming for the 'Cube Black and White, is heading for the Gamecube offering a "whole new experience of gameplay." Evolution Worlds, shipping to North America. Worlds combines the two popular Dreamcast games, Evolution and Evolution 2, making for an excellent RPG for the Gamecube. Want old news?
