A good turnout of 122 Wests at the first Championship Show of the season at Nottingham. Best west was taken by Neil Thompson with a young blue cock; a powerful bird with great width of chest and solid as a rock (pictured left). Another young bird took the blacks, this time a hen from Alan Hall's loft (right). This was one of an identical pair from the same nest. The red class was won by Nick Jackson's adult hen, and the yellows by yet another young cock, by John Plant. As for me, another string of seconds! Watch out next time lads!
