OUR SECOND GARDEN MAKE OVER & BUILDING OF STUD HOUSE

This is to be an on going project, starting in 2002, taking you step by step, on the renovations of my garden and building of a new Stud house and cat runs.

So come back often if you too, are thinking of taking on a Stud cat.

Prior to this, the garden had taken on a lot of changes, but it is about to have the most dramatic changes in the next few years. This work needs to be completed by the time I retire.

'Kind hearts are the Gardens

Kind thoughts are the Roots,

Kind words are the Flowers,

Kind deeds are the Fruits,'

Flower baskets and Spanish/Portuguese Plates have been added to Pud's domain. Pud's house will need to be repaired when the new house is finished. From the near right side, around the back of his house and around the shed will be a small run into the new girls run. This will  give Pud more territory to explore. Prior to this, the garden had taken on a lot of changes, but it is to have more dramatic changes.

The beginning of laying the patio. The fence also has to be painted this year. Between the new stud house and garden shed, there is a tree, which we have decided to keep and incorporate it into the small girls run. This is the one place that remains dry and shady, a very relaxing place to sit, in the summer. We intend to build a seat around the tree, so that we can sit there, in the shade.

Shell of house is built. Fence and house is protected with cuprinol.

The area between the new house and shed, will be the new queens run. The tree will have a seat around it, as this is a very cool place to sit, during hot summer months.

The large shelf in girls room, is waiting to be tiled. Her bed will be housed here, even though it is by the window. The window is double glazed. The small shelf to the left of this shelf will house the radiator. There will be another shelf under the large shelf on the right hand side. This will be for her food.

A Small ladder will be added to the left hand side of this shelf

photo © Lady Christine Campbell

We ended using ceramic tiles for the shelves, as we felt it was going to be easier to keep clean.

Although this does not look like a very large shelf, this is a big room. This shelf will be tiled.  This top shelf  will house the new baby's bed plus a few other things to keep him amused.

This bottom shelf will be carpeted. We have added a leg of treated wood, to the bottom shelf, which will have Sisal rope around it.

Gate fixed and preparations are made for more play areas in Fudges' run and the roof to go on. A few repairs have been made to Puddies very expensive run, which is rotting away from inside the timber, I would never every get another one of those runs even if it was given to me. Once brought the company don't want to know.
