In a Galaxy far away......sorry wrong story...

How did it all come about?

Originally know as C.L.I.T.O.R.I.S.* our merry band was born out of a late night conversation, more than a few sherbets and a dare. The dare being the name would not go down well (!) over at Boinc. So *The Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society was born. The name itself is taken from an episode of  Red Dwarf.

As you probably know, I rarely take anything too seriously, this project included. So I was surprised when, one by one, the team list began to grow. The first few members came over from Carolyn's Clinic as they switched over to Boinc, so they knew what to expect!

So...the name change...

I suppose we realised that if the team was to grow we needed to have a more "mature name".  (I know of at least one senior member of Boinc Admin. complaining it might offend others.) The name might have changed, but the humour hasn't!

So welcome aboard The Final Front Ear!

We now have 291 members working on multiple projects, who come from at least 35 different countries. Maybe humour is universal after all, it can't be the intellectual content!

It was great to have everyone on board at the start of a new chapter of SETI@home and Boinc. We've now evolved and take an active part in many varied projects.

We're currently involved in over 60, stay tuned for more coming on line in the near future.

This is your site, so we need your ideas, articles, humour . . . .anything, (well almost!) to keep The Final Front Ear up there with the top teams.

We have a message board over on Yuku, it's an active forum where we all tend to meet up and exchange stories, ideas, etc. You'll get details on how to access it when you sign up with The Final Front Ear.

We have finally opened up The Final Front Ear on line store, check the link below to see what we have on offer. A big thank you goes to Seana, who set the store up for us!

We now have NASA TV running 24/7, just scroll down to watch.

You can now download and install The Final Front Ear Tool Bar, there are direct links to this site, the Team forum and all the major projects we're involved with. To take a peek at the tool bar just click
