The 'Tameside, Glossop & District Branch' serves all of the nine towns within the Tameside Borough as well as Glossop and the surrounding villages. The Branch holds two evening monthly meetings at the Civic Centre, Trinity Street, Stalybridge.
The first meeting is a Branch Meeting and is held on the first Tuesday in the month, starting at 7.30pm.
It gives the opportunity for a chat with other members or an option to join in with the quiz's, games or maybe to listen to a guest speaker.
The second Tuesday is when the Support Group gets together, also starting at 7.30pm.
This offers the chance to chat with other MS sufferers and /or carers over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
The Branch operates a minibus which is used to transport members to meetings and for the occasional trips out.
The ‘Multiple News’ is our local branch newsletter. It sent out to all of our members.
Currently the Branch has two Welfare Officers who visit the newly diagnosed and offer advice and information to all members.
