Subjective response
I ordered my SVS 16-46 PCi subwoofer online from the USA quite unheard. My buying decision was based entirely on reading the personal recommendations of AV forum members and enthusiasts in the UK and USA. I had never read so many excited and enthusiastic posts about something so unlikely as a subwoofer.

How could I go wrong? If I didn't like my SVS subwoofer then I had the manufacturer's option of returning it for a full refund of the purchase price.

Though I would probably have avoided the expense of the return air freight and sold it locally to a grateful AV enthusiast. Probably for as much as I paid for it. The buyer would have the advantage of a home demo.

The cylinder models are no longer available in Europe. A limited range of SVS subwoofers is now available from local distributors.

The three sizes of SVS cylinder subwoofer
Never known for my patience, I had already rung the delivery service to confirm an ETA.
My sack truck was sitting out by the garden gate an hour before! Perhaps I should hastily add that I didn't do any practice runs.

At 11am precisely my 35 year search for quality bass finally ended. With an undignified 60 yard sprint down the drive to meet the delivery lorry. My Ferrari-red sack truck reached a new top speed on the outward journey!

I could not believe the sheer size of the box on the lorry tail-lift! But I was too impatient to hear what it could do to take any pictures of the arrival! There are other priorities.

The empty box picture below is an 'action replay' for the camera so I had an image to put on the website.

At this pont I was also rather worried what my wife would think of this monster subwoofer sitting in our listening room!

The big SVS box arrived in pristine condition after its long journey.
