Nancy Meckler
The artistic director of Shared
Experience since 1987, Nancy Meckler is best known for her stage versions of
great novels, among them Tolstoy's Anna Karenina (1991-92, 1998); George
Eliot's The Mill on the Floss (co-directed with Polly Teale, 1993, 1995,
2001); Tolstoy's War and Peace (co-directed with Teale, NT Cottesloe,
1996); and E.M. Forster's A Passage to India (2003).
Other
theatre work: Saint Joan (Arts Theatre, Cambridge, 1981); Martin
Sherman's one-woman play Rose (NT Cottesloe, 1999); Anthony Sher's
