Orlando Gough
Orlando Gough studied mathematics at
Oxford and as a composer he has always followed a slightly unorthodox path. A
creator of striking, minimalist music for theatre and dance, his RSC scores are
The Last Days of Don Juan (Danny Boyle, Swan, 1990), Richard II
(Ron Daniels, RST, 1990) and The Tempest (James Macdonald, Small-scale
Tour, 2001). Other theatre music includes William Tell (Sheffield
Crucible) and As You Like It (Tim Albery, Old Vic, 1989). His dance
scores include Weighing the Heart (Second Stride), Goes Without
Saying (LCDT), Currulao (Rambert), Cold Rolled Hot Pressed
(Dance Advance), and Ashley Page's Walk and Talk (Royal Ballet,
1990). |
