A fantastic day. Lyyden the home of clock wound back 30 years racing.
No mech probs at all. Sticky slicks and plenty of drinking water needed.
Long suffering mechanic Phil, pictured centre here, deserves a mention. Phil, the cars out shine you!

Prepped and ready to go

We arrived at around 10 and found Merrick and Nige chilling out.

Merrick, er ready as ever!

My digi pic of the day.
Rory snapped using my digi Ixus. continuous shoot mode, 2X optical zoom plus 1.5X home-made add on zoom. One of the 4 pics gave this corker. The gap in the barrier where the marshals stand is only 2 car lengths and Rory is speeding into the infamous Paddock bend.

Rory on his way

Lol's two entry set up. The VX beast was driven to the circiut and the 1960 Series one was trailered. 2nd in the Credit Proffessional race... What a guy!

Lol's pitch.

Simon invested in a new set of F3 soft compound slicks. The handling
transformed.

A poor start. Battling past Rory & Simon. Neil in my sights

Alan got my pass of the day.
He did an F1 style Hakainen / Schmacher around the back marker past for the lead and took the race win!
Below I am past Neil. Neil tried hard to get me back. He spun not long after. Damaged the front suspension.

Past Neil. The start places lost now made up... now, where's the guy in front gone...
