ERIK PAULSON
The club would like to thank Mike Gregory for hosting and inviting us to Erik's seminar at the Reebok arena uk. We gained a lot from it and would recomend these seminars to all with an open mind in the martial arts world.

JUNIOR CLASSES
The club as just started a new junior class (Little Dragons) and even though it as only been going a few weeks it is already proving to be very well supported. The kids have their own grading syllabus and belting system.
Special thanks to our new childrens instructor Jenni Hyslop for all her help and assistance.
(Please note:- the kids classes are now becoming so full that we are about to start another kids night at the club, watch this space for details)

BIRTHDAY BOY
Club instructor Steve Winstanley would like to thank all of his friends and students for the suprise birthday party they arranged for his 50th birthday. Steve was completely lost for words as he entered his local pub for a drink with his good friend and training partner Jason Tattersall. He was visible shocked by the turn out as a packed pub all sang happy birthday, I'm sure I saw a tear in his eye. Photos of the event will be posted shortly on the clubs photo site (see below)
He would also like to thank his wife for arranging the event, and for her support and understanding over the years.
Thanks to to all his students, who are all going to suffer at the next training session.
Lastly thanks to Laura and the staff of the Talbot hotel Burnley for putting up with us for all these years.
Members of the dojo use the Talbot to recover after training and use a area reserved for them in the pub called by the management " KUNG FU CORNER "

The club entered James Hartley in the British combat submission wrestling champianships at the Reebok arena U.K. We are pleased to annouce that Jimmy came joint second in the under 70k it could have been a first but he narrowly lost one of his bouts by one point. Maybe next time Jimmy.
The club would like to congratulate Steve Cooper on attaining his Black belt. Steve has trained at the club for over 8 years and we thank him for his loyalty and support.
Some of the clubs senior instructors have just been to a 3 day seminar on submission fighting in Edinburgh. This was conducted by Erik Paulson from America who is the world shoot fighting champion. I personally benefited greatly from this seminar, as did the other instructors.
The Shinobi-kai academy as a very open minded approach to the martial arts, and seek out world class instructors to enhance their own level of training. This in turn is given on to the clubs students and a higher level of training is attained... Congratulations to J.Hartley and D.Rawlins for passing their black belt exam in Taekwondo this week, keep it up boys.
