I've always loved to read and have worked my way through a lot of different books! My favourite genre of book is thriller or msytery, I love books where the reader has to try to work out what's going on! Some of my favourite authors are: AGATHA CHRISTIE Her murder Mysteries are complex with many twists and great characters! ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE If you love a detective story how can you not love Sherlock Holmes? ELIZABETH GEORGE A modern writer who creates wonderfully complex mysteries and interesting characters!

Not only do I enjoy reading books but I also like to have a try at creating stories myself! In my spare time I do a lot of writing and last year successfully wrote and directed a Murder Mystery Evening.
One of my greatest ambitions is to have a book published, its a dream I've had for many years and a goal I am always working towards.
At the moment I am writing a story which i have entitled 'Old Sins and Long Shadows'!
In the next column is a short extract from the beginning of my story...i would love to hear your opinions on it so please read and contact me! Constructive Criticism is very welcome!!

Some people would say it happened right here in our world. But it didn’t. The effects of it were felt in our world, but it didn’t happen here. The effects were devastating; war, crime, evil all around us. Yet in some way, we were to blame. We began the world where it all happened, a world within our world, that didn’t really exist and never will. This world is concealed within our own; to some extent we created it, and should have controlled it. Each of us has a part of this world inside us. It is in our dreams, our fears and our deepest, most powerful thoughts. You may not understand yet, but in time you will. First you need to find your section of the inner world, a place you inhabit in your dreams, forever trapped between reality and fiction. Find it; then perhaps you may understand everything that happened. Now I will take you there, to the world it happened in, and the way it all began…
