Other Severnside Wildlife Pictures |
Severnside is not only of great importance to birds but is also home to many other species of wildlife. I have recently started to capture some of these using digital photography and thought some of the images would be of interest. |

These three species of Orchid were all found in June 2004. The plant on the right is Bee Orchid. Below left is a Common Spotted Orchid, which is actually very rare on Severnside with only a handful of records. Below right is a Southern Marsh Orchid, the first recorded here for many years. |
Common Blue, as the name suggests, this is a Common Butterfly seen from April to October. |
Male Red-veined Darter. This rare migrant Dragonfly has been seen at Severn Beach in three of the last four years. |
Clouded Yellow. Usually a scarce migrant butterfly from the Continent. Some years large numbers can be seen. |
