Visitors flock to Mumbles to see the Victorian Pier built in early 1800's. Today you can fish & walk the length of the Pier for a nominal charge. The Swansea Coastguard Station based in Langland Bay has a direct communication link with the Lifeboat Control House seen to the left of the Pier, and within minutes volunteer lifeboat Men & Women are launched when needed to attend Emergencies or to assist with incidents within the Bristol Channel.
