Swansea has always been renowned for its Fishing be it on the shore or off Small Boats and Charter Boats. Some Welsh Record fish have also been caught here like Stuart Williams' Cod 45-8-0 caught on the Seren Y Mor. 10 lb Pollack caught off Swansea's West Pier.
Try the Victorian Mumbles Pier once used for Boarding Vessels like the Waverley & Balmoral, Anglers have been pleasntly suprised here by the double fisgure Cod in the Winter months and Bass up to 13lb being caught in 2001 by Cliffy's dad. Mackerel, Trigger Fish The odd Black Bream, Pouting (deadly as a live bait for the Bass, Conger and Cod) frequent the stanchions and wells of the Pier. Also Mumbles Lifeboat is home here situated on the East Wing of the Pier. Swansea has lot of Sand Bars and Coastline to be discovered by all Anglers, always show respect for the Sea as the Bristol Channel is the 2nd fastest Tide in the World.
