Paintings and drawings by Ron Wilkinson
Ron Wilkinson's paintings can be separated into two main categories; 'Night Landscapes' and 'Organic-mechanical' paintings.

The landscapes are mainly of moonlit clouds and early-morning or late-evening sun effects. The interplay of these light conditions on cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds is expressed in the work in a slightly abstracted form, to emphasise high contrast and volume, resulting in crisp clean paintings with atmospheric and mysterious elements.
Some of the paintings have a broad border in an harmonic colour and some depict the landscape spilling into the border in muted tones.

The second category is of onion or bulb shaped plants mutating and transforming into mechanical structures, which comment on mans' interference with nature.
These forms seem to float in a space of complementary colour which adds to their strange fascination.

Examples of both categories of work can be viewed by browsing the pages.
