In this low quality photograph of screen two you can't fail to notice that many of the seat backs are of different shades of red and pink.

People would often put their feet on the seats (the ultimate cinema crime) and the seats were also subject to abuse from rowdy youths, so eventually the seat backs needed to be sent away to be recovered. Unfortunately, they always seemed to come back in a slightly new shade of red.

Foyer. Just to your left is the exit from the screen which leads to the foyer.
