This is the view of projection room one that you see if you enter from the fire exit from screen one itself.

The film being shown at the time of this photograph was The Return Of The King. This was also the last film ever shown in screen one.

In the bottom left of the photograph, you can see the edge of the top plate on the projection platter. The little copper bracket was used to hold the end of the film in place.

Screen 1. Directly behind you is the fire exit which leads into screen 1.

Change View. Move over to the right of the projection room and view the projector from there.

Window. Directly behind the projector is a window which looks out into the light well between the cinema and the Theatre Royal.
