The writing shown in this photograph can be seen on the front of the cinema on the left hand side.

As is evident from this, the building was obviously at some point a parish hall for a St Paul's church. The only mention of a St Paul's church in Bath is the "St. Michael's with St. Paul's" church in Broad street (next to the central Post Office).

A few years ago, I heard that a school used to serve its dinners in this building when it still used to be a church hall. Sadly, I never heard anymore about this.
