- Dearman, Gammon & Harrison
Anni Dearman, Steve Harrison and Vic Gammon (renowned academic
& performer) perform English traditional songs and tunes in a
robust and firmly rooted English style, accompanied on various
squeezeboxes, banjo and mouthorgan. They appear regularly at
folk clubs, festivals and in concerts. Their CD Black Crow,
White Crow was released by the English Folk Dance & Song Society
in March 2005.

- Martin Carthy
Probably the most famous of British folk singers and not without
reason.
Masterly on the guitar and vocals, Martin was awarded the MBE
for services to Folk Music a few years ago. He appears with,
Waterson:Carthy. Wood Wilson & Carthy, Brass Monkey & is a former
member of Steeleye Span. Martin sings mainly from the English
Tradition. He still sings wonderful ballads telling stories of
long ago, but also some more modern songs and an occasional
humorous offering.

- John Kirkpatrick
John's done it all from currently being a member of Brass Monkey,
in the past Steeleye Span, Albion Country Band. He plays Anglo
Concertina, Button Accordion and single row melodeon and sings
as well as anybody has a right to. Expect Traditional, selfpenned
humorous and 1930's material. A great entertainer and one of the
finest Traditional performers.

Return of a very funny man

Unfortunately, Les had to cancel because of an impending
operation -- he's now scheduled for January.

A very funny man who did an absolute blinder on his last visit.
The Oldest Swinger in Town’ and at the same time ‘The Folker’.
1980’s Top Ten record Star. A great entertainer. His songs
have been covered by Jasper Carrot & Little & Large among many.
He is an experienced TV & Radio presenter & paid large sums as
an after dinner speaker. Come along & have a good laugh.

- Chris Wood
Co-writer of BBC folk Awards “Best Song 2006”. Terrific musician
and singer. His CD “The Lark Descending” was voted into the four
top folk cds at the BBC folk Awards. Chris sings & plays English
Traditional and self penned material on Fiddle & Guitar. He also
performs with “The English Accoustic Collective”, Wood, Wilson,
Carthy, and Andy Cutting, but really shines when performing solo.
Chris was recently invited to join Paul Weller, Billy Bragg,
Martin & Eliza Carthy in Simon Emerson's The Imagined Village.
He also has had musical commissions from BBC Radio 3's Late
Junction and Between The Ears also from The Sage Gateshead and
has completed work for Arts Council England whilst continuing
his writing and lecturing. Chris’s new album TRESPASSER is
now available.
