HIGHLIGHTS: the occasion – lots of people, tons of lovely sunshine and a great atmosphere. That night Nigel's niece sang herself to sleep with Hit The Road, Jack.

WED 11th June 2003 THE RONANLESS GIG at the Old Bookbinders, Jericho, Oxford.

How full was the pub? Hmmm, but then there was England v. Slovakia…

SECOND HALF: Steamroller Blues, Run Away, Stand by me, Doesn’t matter any more, Live in wonder, Hit the road Jack, Save tonight, Blue Bayou, Red Lounge Lizards.

ENCORE: Tracks of my tears; God Save The Queen(!)

HIGHLIGHTS: fabulous kicking harmonies on Save Tonight and Lay Down Sally, also: a huge big welcome to Jason in the Lounge. Nice one.

HIGHLIGHTS: has to be the special guests, the first time for all of them on stage, amazing!
# The dance routine and sheer kitsch value of ‘Waterloo’, well done to Hedda and Johanna for having the courage to sing to a pub full of English people! We’ll do the Swedish hockey anthem next time, shame you lost to Canada at the last minute…
# Bel’s renditions of Tears in Heaven and Hello kept the crowd as quiet as they were ever going to be.
# Michaela’s first time on stage playing guitar on Como Quisiera (a South American hit for Argentinian band Mana) and solo on Lay Down Sally. Nice one.
# …and how could we forget the ‘We love Red Lounge’ posters by the mysterious guests.
