Retro-Rapiers

The Rapiers were first formed in 1981. They got together via a practice session which took of rather well.They got a few local gigs and moved on from there.They had to change their name to the L.E Rapiers but have been going strong ever since. The members then were Jim/Rhythm guitar &vocals,Mick/Lead guitar&vocals,Ray/Bass guitar and Phil/Drums. The Rapiers have only disbanded once for a short time.The only change to the group has been the drummer,and theres been a few of them. The new drummer Terry joined the band in 2004,and has settled in very well. The group mainly play rock and roll music,but recently have added sixties,seventies and eighties numbers to their score. They have played at many pubs,clubs,carnivals and festivals across the region and will play for any event,be it birthday,wedding,anniversary etc.
