Christopher Hair ~ director/violin

Christopher studied historical violin with Duncan Druce, Catherine Mackintosh, and Margaret Faultless. In addition to directing CGBO, he works with the Midland-based ensemble Armonico Tributo, Exeter-based Devon Baroque, Taunton Camerata, Corelli Concerts, and is in increasing demand as a freelance player. When not performing he writes about, edits, and publishes early music. He has contributed to the most recent edition of the New Grove Dictionary of Music & Musicians, and his editions of choral works by Francesco Scarlatti received premiere performances with Emma Kirkby at the Wigmore Hall, London, in October 2003, as well as being recorded by Deux-Elles. He is currently preparing an edition of the same composer's complete works.
