Once your UPS has been installed, you may want to consider upgrading the manufacturers standard warranty.
Most single phase equipment, upto 6kVA there is a standard two year warranty that allows for a next working day swop out.
On UPS above 6kVA most manufacturers offer a 12 month warranty. Should the UPS develop a fault during this period then the manufacturers response time is usually "best endeavours" which in real terms can be as long as three working days. The same applies to most generator manufacturers.If your existing UPS or generator is not covered by any warranty, just think of the cost of the down time alone while you await the arrival of an engineer, aside from the cost of parts and labour! The various upgrades available vary from manufacturer, but in essence they all offer all or some of the following:
A 24 hour-7 day cover (365 days a year).
A guaranteed response time of the same working day, between 4 & 8 hours to site.
Next working day response.
24 Hour technical help line and support.
All travel to and from site.
All parts and labour (Excluding batteries).
Annual preventative maintenance visit (Twice a year under certain circumstance).You may not have purchased your existing UPS or generator from us, but, we would only be too happy to provide a quotation for you
