Welcome to 'PJD' Military and Family Research. I am a member of the Orders and Medals Research Society (UK), (O.M.R.S.) and my main interests lie in the 1st and 2nd World Wars. I Specialise in Reserach into the Medal entitlement, and service of Officers and other ranks in the Army, Navy, and R.A.F,(formally the Royal Flying Corps),especially in the 1st World War.Interest in family genealogy is on the increase, and researching a family members wartime service is a rewarding and satisfying pastime, for some, little is known, and for others there are 'gaps' that need filling.
On each page,you will find a different branch of the Armed Services, ie: Army, Navy, and R.A.F. (R.F.C.).and what research is available, the majority of which is carried out at the Public Record Office at Kew, London.(THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES).
PLEASE NOTE that some services may require a fee being paid to other researchers who have specialist databases, to some research aspects. This fee will be passed on.
