Chub thrive in relatively large numbers in the upper, non tidal, river Wensum.If you approach the swim carefully it is possible to land some real stonkers. Specimens of 5 and 6lb plus are not uncommon. It is best to stick to mostly natural baits in the summer i.e Slugs and Lob worms. Bread, cheese-paste or flavoured meat in winter.
