"The Phoenix sound is very English, being led principally by the melodeon. The ten tunes on this locally grown disc are all traditional dance tunes arranged by the band, each very catchy and lively and driven along by some pumping bass playing. The sound is very tight and well balanced, with the instruments clearly separated in the mix. The musicians show their influences very clearly, many of which are to be found in the Albion family. All in all, this is a very competent album which will keep the feet tapping while you listen, and will leave catchy phrases running round your head long after the disc has ended."
