The Isle of Whithorn is small community in SW Scotland and lies approximatly 22 miles south of Newton Stewart – the nearest sizable town, on the A75 Carlisle to Stranraer trunk road. I spent most of 2003 here at 8 Laigh Isle, a property owned by my parents. The following photographs give a brief feel of the place. Double click them to expand.

View Along The Coast

A little way along the coast from 8 Laigh Isle is a Triangulation Point upon a small hill which gives a good view of the coast and the isle of whithorn

Unfortunatly a fat man got in the way an spoiled the view!

People quite often fish from the cairn rocks. Here a chap is out in a small boat trying his luck.
