Churchyard

The following drawing illustrates the location of the church on the plot nearby buildings such as the Old Rectory, which is now privately owned.

We have divided the churchyard into hypothetical sections, so that it is easier to describe areas of the churchyard.

Section One generally has the older graves with headstones.

Section Two has some older graves, a wide grass path leading to section four.  It also has many small modern memorial plaques for residents who have been cremated. These are located in the section just in front of the church building wall.

Section Three contains older graves and some large crypt-style graves near the church building.  Stone steps lead up to raised area at the back containing more modern graves.

Section Four contains the most modern graves.
