ChatNetUK is a small Internet Relay Chat Service based in the UK. We currently run a single server network.This service is growing rapidly and we hope that you will find changes and improvements all the time.
For those of you who don't know what IRC is basically about meeting people old and new alike and discussing interests, problems and other everyday issues.
To connect to our server, you will either need to download an IRC client, we recommend using a program called mIRC, this is a shareware package that you can freely download from: http://www.mirc.com or you can use our Java Chat software.
A quick start for new mIRC users is to type: //server irc.vipchatuk.net 6667
into the bar at the bottom. For more experienced users, add the server as Description: ChatNet Server: irc.vipchatuk.net Group and Password Need not be filled in. Port: 6667
Once on IRC, type /list for the channel list and For all general queries and a good start join the channel: #Lobby do this by typing: /join #Lobby
Users are reminded that ChatNetUK IRC Server is governed by Normal IRC RULES and REGULATIONS and every user who connects to our server is expected to adhere to them - the rules can be found by typing /rules in status window of mirc.
Once connected to the server, channel operators will be happy to help with any problems you may experience with relation to chat.
