Evans & Sons was a small building company in Camberwell with connections to East Street market in South East London.
A wheelwright by trade, my grandfather built and supplied for rent many of the costermongers barrows for the market. Many of these barrows survive to this day all heavily engraved with the family name on the cross rails.

My father Jack Evans was first married to Pat (surname unknown) and she lived in Sansom Street Camberwell Green. They had two children Marilyn and Travina. I know that one of the girls worked in Gamages department store before its demise.
My father's second marriage was to Dorita and they had three children Jack, Dorita and Timothy.
