Standard Kit: Torch, lots of spare batteries,
work gloves, boots (steel toes),
water, snack, mobile phone (for emergency) clothes in the fashion of your choosing (Some groups dress in suits or fluro clothing, I'm in favour of Black Boiler suits), sunglasses just to finish off your ensemble. VERY IMPORTANT: Always tell your mummy (Or someone you trust)where you are going and what time you expect to be out. If drainning or exploring tunnels have someone wait at the entrance for you, if possible, with a mobile phone.

TOOLS: 16 ounce Claw Hammer (simple, classic, useful), crow/pry bar, screwdrivers (both types), club hammer, bolt cutters, fluorescent jackets (if safety=visibility).
A car or transport of the internal combustion variety. Always recce a site first so you'll have an idea of what you may require.
Recceing a site is almost always essential do it unless its so far away that its a one time deal.
Theres nothing worse than going to a site and realising you've made a mistake or it wasn't what you thought it was.
Research and recconoitre thats the key to successful U.E'ing. Oh, and sunglasses.

ADVANCED EQUIPMENT: Walkie talkies (For liasing between lookout and infiltrator), Heavy blanket (renders razor wire useless), lock picks (Its an art), thermic lance (Look it up or ask Aleks), deception materials such as fake id, disguises, uniforms etc

The search engine is your most valuable weapon as most institutions have something online or pages made by dedicated staff or external bodies.
First think logically- I want to go here, it is in this region, it is this type of building (EG hosp.), it is/ was run by. Put in these details and see what you turn up. If nothing appears try abstract thought. A former Airforce airfield may now be used by a Glider club, or may have been used as a film set etc
