I have been a practicing counsellor and psychotherapist for over 25 years working in private practice fom a consulting room at home and variously at privately run therapy centres in London and two London Hospitals.

I initially trained as a post graduate in Gestalt Therapy in London and hold a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Gestalt Therapy; the latter with a particular emphasis on working with women. I further training in Biodynamic psychotherapy and therapeutic massage,completed a one year post graduate training in Creative Groupwork to Certificate level and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy; on an M.Sc. programme through South Bank University and in Conjunction with the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust. This was a recognised British Association of Sexual and Relationship Therapy (BASRT) Psychosexual Training. I have subsequently become a qualified counselling practitioner Supervisor and Consultant having completed a Whittington Hospital NHS Trust approved supervison/consultancy certificate training.

I am accredited with BASRT and registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I abide by BASRT's code of ethics and practice who set high standards in the field.

I have taught and supervised variously in the field of counselling and psychotherapy on a wide range of subjects; from undergraduate first year students to post graduate M.Sc level. I have also worked as academic marker on a number of such courses and with private individuals in training.

My chapter on working with Post Tramautic Stress Disorder was published in February 2002 in 'PTSD - A Practitioner's Guide to Counselling' (Ed) Thom Spiers and Published by Routledge. I have a keen interest in academic writing. I am also committed to my own continuing personal and professional development.

My work is supervised by an experienced BASRT accredited practitioner based in London.
