Sexual & Relationship Counselling or 'Couple Counselling'.Most people experience what might be regarded as a sexual difficulty at some point during their lifetime. Simply being overtired is a common factor familiar to many.
Psychosexual therapy - Sexual & Relationship therapy - or 'Couple Counselling' as it is perhaps more commonly known - may help you if you have a troubling sexual or relationship difficulty which has a sudden onset and doesn't seem to want to go away. Or, with a sexual difficulty you may have been experiencing for a more prolonged period of time.
Some examples of this might be absent, infrequent or loss of sexual desire, orgasm difficulties, painful or difficult sex and erectile problems.
Some problems may be far less specific but equally troubling to you; like a feeling of not getting on with your partner (sexually or otherwise)perhaps through poor communication or a feeling of simply not being able to 'get it right'. Perhaps you are having difficulties in forming or maintaining an intimate relationship.
Confusion and difficulty in coming to terms with sex, your sexuality or sexual orientation can also be very troubling.
This list is not exhaustive. Heterosexuality is never assumed. After any initial awkwardness or embarrassment is overcome counselling really can help! It is often best if you talk to your partner first(if you have one)so you can make an initial appointment together. However, for some people this sort of communication seems an impossible first step and you may prefer to make an individual appointment.
