North East Ju-Jitsu Kobudo Association

NEJJKA has classes in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, and Teeside. Nejja has taught the WJJF syllabus since 1980. Senior grades Sensei’s Dorothy Adamson 6th Dan, Stephen Eglitis 6th Dan and Karl Jessen 6th Dan co-ordinate NEJJKA with the help of all the club coaches and assistant coaches.

How it began. In 1980 the South Shields Ju-Jitsu Academy opened at Chuter Ede C.A. As new clubs opened in neighbouring towns we became known as the Tyne & Wear Ju-Jitsu Academies. Due to the continual expansion throughout the region it was decided to change our name for the last time and become North East Ju-Jitsu Association, as this is literally the area we cover.

NEJJKA has 15 clubs at present stretching from as far north as Morpeth in Northumberland to as far south as Eston in Teeside.
