ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT CRASH IN ON THE CONOR HALL

Well what can one say about this melee of brass and neo-50's rock/ska except that they are one bunch of funky hardcore kick-arse, make-your-ears-bleed, smooth guys.(especially the guy with the Marrachas, you rock!)I have to say it has been the Legendary Therapy? Empire gig since I have jumped up and down until my tequila came back up. The energy that flowed through the crowd was awesome and every sweaty, ugly, red-faced ( including me) member of that mosh-pit fired both barrels to make sure we all left tired and hurt.( i even sprained my ankle)
The power that those guys generated was unbelievable. The relatively small Conor hall was nearly bursting with the shear volume of noise. The crazy brass section added an electric festival dimention to the whole outfit, which managed to drag in the whole ska side without leading us into one of those stupid bouncy things for 2hrs. The shear musicianship of R.F.T.C. was top quality, something which is unfortunatly getting rarer and rarer these days.
Well with, power, quality, and good banter as words im happy to describe the boys, i think you can tell i think they are Ace and the gig was definately a full-marks-job.
Rockets; you are concert gods, but lets cut down on the beating of the crowd around the head with your mic.

Los Cabros were the first act on to support and i have to say that they where quite loose, yet fairly, you could see a bucketload of potential in those guys.
The second support, ****< an instrumental group where one sweet trip. Their solid super-tonal set was the perfect sound for all those under the influence. The running melodies still flow through my little head. The only fault i can see is that they really didnt suit a R.F.T.C. support.
Faces in The Crowd: Hello; Ricky, agee 1 (the nice guy who got me stoned @ 81), agee 2 ( all round good guy - drummer for panda kopanda) billy, james, and everyone who helped sprain my ankle.)
I would just like to finish by saying that when 'On a Rope' followed by' Born in 69' was unleashed onto us, that i felt one of those rare moments when the whole crowd seemed to understand the importance of going nuts... Belfast..I salute you.
Nice to see you again Graham.
