Welcome to Mike Wingate's Web Site
A bit of a strange year. Time off school with Jury service and then being diagnosed with health problems. Just turned 55 and all seemed to go downhill. Bleeding from throat and rushed into hospital for surgery. I had the top third of one of my vocal chords removed. Found out that it was non malignant, then 2 months later at speech theraphy the tumour had returned. Removed again only for the specialist to discover it again 6 weeks later.Sent to new specialist. He decided not to remove voice box with a laser but to treat with drugs instead, so at the end of my second week of treatment. Back to hospital on the 7 Jan, dread to think what they will find next!
