Port Tennant 1 v Morriston 4
A tough bruising encounter over at Ashlands saw Morriston having to dig deep for the win which in the end they deserved.Against the run of play Port took the lead when a miscall from keeper Scolding allowed the Port striker to head over him and leave a simple tap in for the other player in the box.Port then resorted to all out defence and with a rather fortunate goal Morriston found themselves level at half time with an own goal from a very well presented corner.Second half continued in much the same vein with Morriston attacking time and time again. It was some determined play though that brought Morriston goal number two.Tony Facciutto beat several players before striking a good shot into the top of the the Port net.Soon after Scott Rees made it 3-1 with a tap in after the keeper saved a Stephen Davey effort and then late on Jordan Bennett scored a typical captains goal with a good run and finish.

Dunvant 2 V Morriston 3
In poor conditions at a very wet and boggy Dunvant Park,Morriston with two key players out through injury and personal reasons, it was slightly as under dogs that Morriston entered this match. The rain continued to pour from the moment the game kicked off and Morriston struggled to get into their stride.Despite this Morriston still created the better chances but it was against the run of play somewhat that Dunvant took the lead with a sweeping move down the right hand flank and an excellent cross which was forced over the line. This lead Dunvant kept up until half time. Some strong words spoken at the half time break resulted in a more determined Morriston side playing with some self belief,It was from an accurate through ball by Rhys Powell that Stephen Davey managed to outrun the Dunvant defence and nick an equaliser.Later the same player with an almost identical break scored the second to put Morriston into the lead.Dunvant then piled on the pressure and it was from an excellent strike from outside the box that saw the ball fly into the roof of the net that Dunvant equalised. Was that it? no it wasnt.Stephen Davey again managed to slip past two or three Dunvant tacklers and when at the bye line cut the ball back to Scott Rees who struck a firm shot into the roof of the net to make it 3-2.With 5 minutes to go Dunvant threw everything at Morriston but could not force the equaliser again.A good game in difficult conditions with Morriston heart and determination winning the game.

Morriston 4 v Landore 0
On a windy morning at Tir Canol, Morriston at the start found it difficult to decide what team they should put out due to a number of late withdrawals. The game started with Jordan Bennett playing in goals and Ben Williams making a start at left back.Josh Rees made his return after two weeks out and Andrew Thomas returned from injury.Despite lots of pressure Morriston failed to score until just before half time when determined play by Scott Rees saw him notch the first of his three goals. The second half against the wind saw Morriston play much better and the chances being created started to be taken.Josh Rees got on the scoresheet from a well worked move down the right and Scott Rees went on to score a memorable hat trick.Landore to their credit never gave up but created fairly little when it came to goalscoring chances.
