Taking its title track from The Beatles 'Ticket to Ride' composition, the CD explores the many facets of brass band music. From the traditional march 'Lydney Park' (composed by  famous march composer J.Ord Hume and dedicated to the Rt. Hon. Lord Bledisloe), the CD journeys through virtuosity solo items to popular music from the Classical repertoire of Faure, Rossini, and Strauss. The album also includes the great swing sounds of Glen Miller and Irving Berlin, together with a cool blues version of Hogey Carmichael's 'Georgia on my Mind' , Freddy Mercury's rock fantasy  'Bohemian Rhapsody', and a beautifully evocative arrangement of the hymn tune 'Crimond'.
