This is a new site launched in 2004 and cronicles the construction of a 20mm to the foot garden railway running on 45mm track and replaces an earlier site on a now aborted attempt at a 16mmng railway on 32mm track. Some of the material from the original site (The Talysarn & Pontlyfni Light Railway) will be incorporated as it is still relevant, the location, fictional history etc. being much the same for the new line.THE LATEST NEWS IS HERE 19/05/04
If this is your first visit please take time to read the following, it will help you find your way around.
The site is in three sections, the Background to the site and railway with links to the gallery and other sites of interest. The Guide which provides information about the railway, why it was built, where it goes, what it does and how it does it, and the Construction section which covers the nitty gritty of how it is/will be made. Each section has its own contents page with descriptions and links to each page in the section. The sections are colour coded and the page headings also tell you which section you are in. Moving from one section to another takes you to the contents page of the new section. The pages also have buttons to navigate the section if you know where you wish to go, the yellow ones are to pages in the current section, the coloured ones take you to the contents page of one of the other sections. I hope to make additions to the site as the railway progresses. The dates against the pages in the contents indicate the last time it was changed, those in red being the most recent changes. At the foot of each page the date created and of any change is show, an update indicates information added to the end of the page whilst a revision indicates changes within the page content.
In order to speed up loading times all pictures within the Construction section are thumb nails which can be enlarged by clicking on them, to return to the page use the back function of your browser. (Closing the picture screen may take you out of the site.)
Hope all this makes sense, let me know how you get on with it. (wfw@freeserve.co.uk)
It's all yours, select where you want to go from the buttons above or below, any will take you to a sections contents page from which you can choose what to look at. So Far in the Background section might be a good place to start.
